Tuesday Gossip

I've been tasked to inform you that the Bachchan Bol website is up and running. It's the only official Amitabh Bachchan website and is run by Jessica "Me and the Big B but mostly ME" Hines. There doesn't seem to be much on there now but it's worth a poke around just to check things out.

I'm also sorry to announce that... *sob* I'm leaving on a "forced family fun" vacation tomorrow and will NOT have any Internet access until I get back on Sunday night. (*Withdrawal symptoms*) I have one more Bollywood For Beginners post that I'll put up tonight and then I'll see everybody on MONDAY MORNING!

Today in gossip - Bebo signs on the dotted line for Heroine; Jackie Shroff is just generally awesome; Shahrukh is taking a break after Don 2; trailer for La Pinto's next; and MORE!

* Akshay Kumar completes twenty years in the business! Congrats, Akki!

* Salman Khan's work is taking a toll on his health.

* DJ Jenny D is fighting against the casting couch.

* Jackie Shroff is doing just fine... better than fine, actually. I've really been enjoying his recent choices in roles.

Jackie would be seen in a Hindi movie, titled, Cover Story, a dramatic thriller, directed by first timer Laurence Postma. The film also stars Sheena Nayyer, who was last seen in a horror film 'Mallika'. "It is a murder-mystery. I essay the role of war correspondent and I am forced to interview an actress (Sheena). The whole film is about these two people. The movie is expected to release by September-October this year," Jackie said.

* Bebo is taking profit sharing for Heroine. I have a feeling that Madhur Bhandarkar has no idea what he is getting into with Kareena Kapoor, especially if she is expecting a good return on the film. Bebo doesn't put up with nonsense.

Example no. 1: See how she shuts down this annoying journo who is harassing her about marriage.

Have you had your share of ups and downs in your relationship with Saif?

(Shrugs) Ups and downs are a normal thing in every relationship.

GIVE IT UP, Bollywood journos! Stop harassing Bebo and Saif about their relationship. Not only is it annoying to them, it's boring for us to read.

* Here's a juicy little tidbit on Dirty Picture...

Vidya Balan’s next film Dirty Picture has a new character based on a dreaded female journalist from the 70s-80s. Actors from today’s generation may not know much about that journalist named Devyani Chaubal. After all, that journo wasn’t any star’s favorite. Even as other glossies praised stars, she brought them down by exposing shocking facts about them.

Apparently Devyani Chaubal was the one who exposed the Dharmendra-Hema Malini marriage!

* The Shahrukh-Katrina film has been pushed back.

Trailer for Trishna... which stars actual actor Riz Ahmed and La Pinto. Mostly, I'm sharing for the AMIT TRIVEDI soundtrack, which will surely be worthwhile.

Jessica Hines needed to go away about fifteen years ago. It took me three tries to read her book when I got it a few years ago--she's not funny and it's painful that she doesn't realize it.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
