Go-Go-Go-Golmaal 3!

Do y'all even know how excited I am for
Golmaal 3?! Well, the official site has gone live and you should go check it out!

I know that not everybody shares or even understands my love of the
Golmaal films (which I discuss here and here) but the combination of elements that Rohit Shetty gathered together just tickles my funny bone in the right way.

And for
Golmaal 3, Rohit Shetty managed to gather a cast that exceeds the genius of even the first two films... there is Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, and Tusshar Kapoor from the first film, the addition of Bebo and Shreyas Talpade from the second, and added to this are the perennially underrated Kunal Khemu, Johnny Lever, Mithun Chakraborty, PREM CHOPRA, and the hilarious Ratna Pathak.

You all know that I am Ms. Feminist and it really brings me great joy to see Bebo's comic timing being used just like one of the guys. She is a formidable talent and I hate seeing her skills go to waste in soppy Karan Johar roles that literally anybody in a miniskirt could handle (and I include Mr. Johar himself in that assessment).

Here are some of my favorite stills from the promotional materials!

I loved the chemistry between Bebo and Ajay in
Golmaal Returns and it looks like Golmaal 3 will build on it. Ajay Devgn is an excellent straight man and he does well opposite Bebo's brash outbursts.

Look, I don't know how I am supposed to
not want to see a movie that has Arshad Warsi and Kunal Khemu doing what appears to be the Cabbage Patch! I'm only human!!!!

Give me a G! Give me an O! Give me an Em-double-A-L! What does that spell?!

Bebo is rocking a shirt that says,
Mind it. Rascal. Oh-HO! It seems that funky t-shirts aren't just for the boys anymore...

Sonam let Arshad borrow her fluffy, pink teddy bear for this scene.

And in conclusion, is it November 5th yet? What about now?

Also, Bebo is pretty darn adorable as a tomboy.

I would soooo love it if they decided to show this one in one of the local theatres. I'll keep my fingers crossed! If not, I'll definitely be getting the DVD. :D

We might differ on how we liked Golmaal 2, but I adored Golmaal 1.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
