Too many dickbags on the dance floor...

Good morning, friends! So… Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia, huh? I have to admit that it's been growing increasingly difficult to force myself to look at the hot mess that has become Preity's life. We all loved her, you know?

And I don't think anybody really wanted Ishkq in Paris to be the incompetent disaster it turned out to be. And then the rumors of drugs, bouncing checks, just poor life decisions all around--poor life decisions to include dating Ness Wadia.

Does anybody really think these dickbag industrialists make good partner material? Yeesh. Pity the poor party girls forced to pick from among them to secure life's comforts.

Anyways, the big story is Preity Zinta dated Ness Wadia; they broke up but still associated with other; he treated her like shit; she filed an FIR against him.

And now the predictable debate is raging in the press--is she a poor, little rich girl looking for attention? (i.e. the George Will point of view) Or is she a feminist hero?

Or maybe the truth is somewhat more murky. We don't know what happened. Preity is certainly looking for attention but that doesn't invalidate her claims.

I do wish Preity the best of luck and hope she finds some justice and some peace.

And maybe it's for the best if she loses contact with the rich money-money types who caused her to end up here in the first place.

Just my two cents.

Let's remember her from happier days… and hope she gets a real comeback.

By the time I got sufficiently into Bollywood to be able to match names to faces reliably and remember movie titles, Preity was already semi-retired from the film business, but I did see her more or less accidentally in a couple of flawed movies where she was very good (Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and Sangharsh). My impression of her from interviews and wikipedia is that she's always been someone with more guts than brains, and I both respect people like that and find them frustrating, because they're always on the brink of getting themselves in trouble.

If she believes the Wadia guy disrespected her in a criminal fashion she is certainly entitled to press charges. Hopefully things will work out okay for her-here's hoping Happy Ending gets her some positive attention.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
