Tuesday: Can you master, baby?

Tons of action in the comment section from yesterday… *phew* Today is a little lighter, I think.

Here comes trouble: Ranbir, Ranveer, and Arjun Kapoor. The article is pointless but I liked the image!

Is somebody filming Entourage: Mumbai? And if not, Ekta, get on it!

(Apparently Ranveer also dances AT Madhuri and Juhi, which is something to keep an eye out for.)

----

Another great picture: Rekha crowning Juhi Chawla as Miss India Universe.

----

Alia Bhatt will not talk about her love life. Good for you, Alia! The Katrina Kaif PR playbook is a smart one.

----

Sigh. The problem with priming people to think Highway is some epic romance is that then you get women begging Randeep Hooda to kidnap them.

That is the sound of one woman face-palming.

It's the Raanjhanna problem all over again.

----

Thoughtful essay on little Akshat Singh. I tried to google the Japanese curry chips ad but didn't find it. I'll keep an eye out, though!

What I’m waiting to see is how the corporate machine working on Akshat’s behalf chugs on, knowing that there’s a limited window within which to maximize on his fame. Will it go down the route of pushing him towards reality shows, being a participant on Roadies or will he be encouraged to perform at weddings and inaugurate malls, before he’s shelved by the public into the “Where have I seen that guy before” category?

----

New Zoya Akhtar film has a title: Dil Dhadakne Do. Alas, it stars Priyanka so I can't watch it.

----

Recap of Koffee with Karan with Mads and Juhi.

KJo evoked cattier responses from Chawla by asking her which actress needed a stylist (“Parineeti [Chopra]“), therapist (“Mallika Sherawat”), and acting coach (“Nargis Fakhri”) and to name an overrated film (“Kai Po Che”).

----

A rapper fighting racism against people from the Northeast.

----

And… Jackky Bhagnani is neither Pepsi nor is he Rahul Gandhi. He's just in a film that uses the Pepsi slogan while looking like Rahul Gandhi, okay!? Jeez.

----

Khiladi.

New theory: Alia Bhatt as new age Jaya Badhuri (ie, thinking man's actress with a girl next door image). Here's hoping she doesn't turn into a gloomy sourpuss after marriage, like Jaya appears to have done.

After seeing Akki's Zee Cine performance on dailymotion, my main reaction was man, that guy's tough. There were some bits where he was lagging a little due to having been up nearly 24 hrs continuously but that and the gray beard just underlined how much brass he had to be trying any of this at all, and the big intro and exit stunts came off flawlessly. (Heck, the reaction shots to the bike stunt had Farah freakin' Khan mouthing "wow"). Other important lessons learned: Ranveer Singh really really really REALLY loves Party All Night, while Ayan Mukherjee only sort of loves the same song. Here, have somebody's gif set of Ranveer's reactions, in the middle left one you can see him mouthing the lyrics: http://rk-pc.tumblr.com/post/77688464090/ranveers-reactions-akshays-performance

AHHH! RANVEER! LOL!!! I would love to party with that guy. I wonder if he'd ever do a two-hero film with Akki, although that might too much power for one screen to contain.

And it hadn't occurred to me to check DM… I'm going to wander over that way right now… Ranveer performed, too, I think? EEE!

This cheers me right up. I'd been feeling a bit under the weather but now!!

I've occasionally wondered what the Vettai remake would look like with Akki/Ranveer in the brother roles, and then I remember that it's a Dharma coproduction, and Dharma/Kjo simply isn't equipped to handle that much testosterone in one place, let alone that much silliness. Anyway, glad to have sent some cheering up material along your way. :)

Indeed! You tempt us with your incredible casting… Akshay/Ranveer would be perfect for Vettai!! I love when Akki does his 'nerd' persona plus the Ranveer just being an all-around badass?! And the two-hero songs they could do?!!!

KJo, make it happen, okay?
