Tuesday Post: BOSS. Everything else can wait.

BOSS.

BOSS.

BOSS IS COMING!

Okay, I think I'm ready to face the rest of the Bollywood news.

I'd better watch the trailer one more time to make sure.

----

In why did I get up today news, Om Puri flees after being charged with beating his wife.

Awful.

So, here is Sonam Kapoor at an anti-rape protest rally.

Can't we all just treat women like human beings?

----

Katrina Kaif is a bridesmaid. I wonder how she felt about these pictures being released... no notes to the press (yet.)

It must be hard to be the sister of a big celebrity like this--you want your sibling there for the event but then the entire world wants to see your wedding photos.

----

Why do I suspect Nana is probably the most excited about a paycheck. TOI has Amitabh Bachchan attached to Welcome 2.

----

Priyanka talks playing Mary Kom... and Rajeev Masand reports a blind item on an actress pulling an Aamir on the sets of her latest film.

BOSS is coming!!! Tony D'Souza factor discourages a little in getting "red-hot-excited" but the trailer has pumped me up for some real iron. Akki vs Ronit - should be one for the books like Salman vs Sonu i Dabangg.

In the Boss trailer, my favorite moment was when the guy brings out his knife, and Akshay just looks at him slyly over his shoulder. Least favorite parts: the shirt-ripping bit and the bikini scene. Shiv Pandit can act, by the look of things, but seems a little overwhelmed in the screen presence department-hopefully they won't spend too much time on him that doesn't involve Aditi (so cute!) or Akshay.

One of my concerns was whether D'Souza could pull off the Rowdy Rathore/K786 style humor, and it looks like he's managing okay. (Admittedly, all he has to do is point the camera and let Akki off the chain-that victory dance when the one guy fell down without being hit looked improvised, for instance.)

The Kaif sisters sure look sweet together. With a big family like that, I can't blame Kat for not bothering about socializing outside of it.

I was hoping the Om Puri thing was just him and the missus going round and round, but the absconding part sure doesn't sound like it.

and by Om and missus going round and round, I meant "her maybe retaliating for an ordinary marital disagreement by filing a police complaint against him." Brain is fried this morning-blame a shortage of caffeine and an overdose of BOSS.

Boss trailer looks horrible. Original malayalam movie didn't look good also, but this is much worse. I can't understand why bollywood way of remaking southern movies is usually to make everything bigger, louder, noiser etc. I understand the convention, but in the end this is too much exaggerated (like the breast enlarged for the third time:P)

Agree with Mariola... I was not a big fan of Pokkiri Raja to begin with (even though Akshay is more plausible as kickass older bro) but this trailer just showed that there's gonna be more dishum-dishum and less whits in the same plot...
We shall see...

Boss = Khiladi 786 + Dabaangg..... Come on be honest and say you are not so looking forward to such a cliche movie.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
