Tuesday Gossip: Dama Dam Mast Kalandar!

Here is something for Americans to keep an eye on - an exhibition at the Smithsonian on the Indian-American experience will be opening in autumn 2013.

And now news!

Bollywood's ten worst debuts… which is a fun trip down memory lane and bad hairstyles.

Like father, like son? Not quite.

On one hand, Mithun Chakraborty landed a National Award for his debut Mrigaya.

The superstar's beefy, long-haired son Himbo, er, Mimoh (now Mahaakshay), however, embarrassed himself with a performance that makes Hulk look profound in and as Jimmy.

Speaking of… rumors have Bips and Harman Baweja as an item.

An image from the Himmatwala remake.

O ho ho! Varun's film with his dad is a remake of Kandireega… maybe they'll get Sonu Sood to repeat his role?

Now that I read this, I think I remember hearing about this conflict - which would explain why Prakash Raj was so lackluster in Dabangg 2.

Catch up with Kamal Haasan.

Kamal Haasan has also lodged a police complaint after receiving threatening phone calls.

Kamal, whose daughter Shruthi too is in showbiz, rues how almost all actors across the board have become “businessmen”.

“Most stars are businessmen. The moment you become a star, you are talking about money and fame. It’s not about the content or artists’ skill any more. Always the collection matters. The numbers have now increased to match along with the population,” he said.

Jiah Khan attempts to rebrand herself as Nafisa. As long as she rebrands herself back into movies, it's all okay by me.

Is Kiccha Sudeep the muse Ram Gopal Varma has been waiting for?

Ranbir Kapoor to dance with mom Neetu Singh at the Screen Awards!

Sarika talks doing an item song for David.

What’s your opinion about having an item girl in a film?

Who am I to have a say? No, seriously, let me tell you why exactly they are in our films: Because they work! This is an industry and we can’t afford to be prudes. There is a wide spectrum of audiences out there and different types of cinema cater to different sorts of people.

Check her out! Sarika with vocals by Rekha Bhardwaj... (this needs less Neil Nitin Mukesh.)

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
