Monday Gossip: The Chicken Feed Edition

ARE YOU READY FOR THE THROWDOWN OF DIWALI 2012?!

But first, I was just pointed towards Project Bolo, which is a collection of oral histories from LGBT Indians. Please check it out!!

* First review for Son of Sardaar is in... from Taran Adarsh.

On the whole, SON OF SARDAAR is for lovers of hardcore masala movies. If you liked WANTED, DABANGG and ROWDY RATHORE, chances are you will relish SON OF SARDAAR as well. The North Indian audiences in particular and those residing abroad will be simply delighted by this chatpata, masaledaar fare. A wholesome entertainer in the festive period. Go, have a blast!

So... I'm definitely going to like it.

* You know I love some Q interviews.

The popular nonsensical Bollywood cinema is a delight to the ‘’aam aadmi’. For him, it’s an escape from his own insignificance, and thus it is believed that commercial films serve a noble purpose. What are your views?

Oh! The great gods of Bollywood. Who shower your acolytes with some true blue entertainment. Turn our collective brains into chicken-feed and deliver us from any intellectual growth. May the light of knowledge never reach us. May cinema be redefined by your grace into a bag of wholesale potatoes. May the market determine what we like and transform us into joyous commodity- sucking crazy people.

I take issue with the idea that Bollywood is "nonsensical" but, boy, oh, boy, do I appreciate a good rant on letting the market determine our tastes.

* Prepare yourselves... Ameesha Patel is desperate.

* PC and Sanjay Dutt join the Zanjeer team in Hyderabad.

* Is this the kiss of death for Anees Bazmee or what? No Entry sequel to star Sohail Khan, Lara Dutt, Celina Jaitely, and Bips.

Check out the world's most adorable Saqib Saleem in the trailer for his second film! WHAT A CUTIE!!!!

And the film looks good, too! I'll definitely be watching this!

Meh. Is it me or does Race 2 seem even more lifeless after watching the trailer for Mere Dad Ki Maruti?

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
