Banjaara Song Promo!!

Thanks to Moimeme for pointing me here. Yash Raj really needs to stop releasing things while I'm sleeping...

Also, Yash Raj needs to start putting these videos up on iTunes so we can carry Katrina and Salman around in our pockets!!!

Lol this video has sparked a lot of talk of kilts, and also a number of double entendres about bagpipes from some of my male friends.

I personally love how cute Salman is, and how he's dancing!

Good grief...I was scrolling through an old Youtube playlist earlier and Soni de Nakhre came on--it's unbelievable to me that that video and Bajnaara star the same girl. She's practically unrecognizable these days--nose job, botox, fillers...all Kat does is stare vacantly (maybe she's trying to look sultry, but it isn't quite there yet) at the camera or her co-star. She may have been an incredibly shitty actress in her first films but at least she smiled every once in a while in them. These days there's just nothing going on behind her eyes. It's sad.

I'm with BT. She's got some serious dead eyes. And Salman looks like he is putting the bare minimum effort into dancing and lip-synching. Also, one day it would be nice if costumers stopped dressing everyone like early 00s Disney Channel.

I know, you guys!!

BUT! There is one moment where Kat smiles and all is well. It makes me wonder if the fillers, etc are only part of the problem and the other part is that somebody has misled her to believe "sexy face" is necessary.

This song was shot approximately 10 days after Salman's surgery for his neural condition - he was advised bed rest for two months. The cold in Ireland started his nerve pain again, and he got a bad cold and was running a fever for their duration in Dublin. I'm not offering all this as an excuse - as Salman himself said a couple of days ago, an actor has to forget about his health issues when the camera is on & do his best, since they can't put a caption on the screen saying, "Here the hero was ill."

But I just wanted to mention that most actors and actresses, for all their glamorous lifestyles, do work under very bad working conditions, especially in Bollywood, and regardless of whether they're feeling well or ill. I've read too many accounts of actors and actresses in India who were filming songs while running a fever of 103 degrees, for example, because to halt the shoot for even a couple of days would be too expensive. True, their work comes in bits and pieces, and they can rest in between. But it still takes a toll.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
