(And, yes, totally serious. That movie was incredibly overrated. The story was extremely trite and the lead actor couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. Oh, boo hoo... he wanted to be a writer. We all have to work in this world.
I was too struck with 'meh' about the film to write on it.)
I thought Udaan was very well-detailed even if the broad story was trite. I loved the realistic Bihari accent, a pleasant change from the caricature we hear in films. From what I recall, the general quality of acting in the film was pretty good overall! Anyway, different strokes and all that :)
On to reading your Bollywood for Beginners. Great stuff.
