Thursday Gossip!

Today in gossip - A hideous video from Ganesh Hegde; SRK, Ranbir, Imran, and Shahid; Govinda's debutant children; and MORE!

* The crowing from the Ra.1 team about how the film is competing with Hollywood is both a) annoying and b) likely to backfire.

While praising SRK's hard work in the movie, Karan, at the occasion, declared that 'Ra.One' might just be the proudest Indian movie which has been ever completed. He said: "Ra.One I believe is the proudest Indian film ever made. In the past there hasn't been a music launch like there has been tonight. It was great".

So, they aren't selling the film on entertainment value but as a duty for people who want to support India? Am I the only one who senses a potential flop?

Juhi Chawla speaks her mind on SRK dedicating the Ra.1 album to her brother Bobby, CEO of Red Chilies, who has been in a coma for a year.

“I’ve mixed feelings about Shah Rukh’s statement at the RA.One music release. Bobby was very much involved in the recordings of the Akon number in the film. And then he met with the mishap,” said Juhi. “I am happy that Shah Rukh remembers Bobby and acknowledges his contribution to Red Chillies. But it saddens me that this acknowledgement comes so late in the day,” added the actress.

* Imran Khan officially hates Crocs. You can't make this stuff up!

He talks Mere Brother...

And what about the equation with your on-screen 'Bhaisaab'- Ali Zafar, you guys seem to gel really well...

Ali is hilarious. He is an extremely funny guy both on-screen and off-screen. If you've seen the bloopers during the end credits of the film, you will know the kind of fun we had while making this film. He was responsible for making the atmosphere on the sets really funny.

* The Junior B took a spill on the Bol Bachchan sets and ended up needing 6 stitches.

* Interview with Shahid Kapoor...

Which is your favourite romantic film?

I remember watching Titanic with a group of male friends. We expected it to be a chick-flick, but found ourselves hiding our faces so no one could see the tears in our eyes. I also like Mughal-e-Azam , Devdas , Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak and Jab We Met. I didn’t want to name one of my films but then Jab We Met deserves to be mentioned.

Oh, Shahid... sometimes I think actors really should be seen and not heard but then you give us gems like that that last line.

* I thought this was interesting in the wake of my Cola War post - Ranbir turns down an advertising job because it doesn't fit with his image and Garam Dharm is now endorsing microwave dinners! I would totally purchase microwave dinners endorsed by Dharmendra! Especially if his image appeared on the box.

* There are so many confused stories about Govinda's children out there - this one has Narmaada's debut but on hold until she takes some acting classes and his son debuting instead.

* Nargis is indeed being dubbed in Rockstar. Now, let us hope that it was her unacceptable natural voice in the trailer and that the dubbed version will be more gentle on our ears.

I know these teasers are silly but they are getting me pumped up!

OH MY GOD NO! MY EYES! Be warned - you cannot unsee this video.

Just no. The braids, the electronics store CM artistic design, Hard Kaur in the world's most unflattering booty shorts...

SRK's "dedication" of the Ra.1 music release to Yash Johar and Bobby Chawla struck me as something of a faux pas. After all, Yash Johar is dead, and Bobby Chawla isn't, even though he's been in a coma for a long time. In fact, my first reaction when I read that was, "What? When did Bobby Chawla die?" Perhaps it's that juxtaposition that bothered Juhi, more than the timing of the tribute.

On another note, since you previously posted about the ban on Nikitha by the Kannada Producers Association, it would be nice if you now posted about the fact that the ban has been lifted, due to protests and condemnation from many inside the film industry.

It's very odd that the production quality of the video Ganesh Hedge did with Hrithik and Katrina was WAY better than this one. This looks...sad.

Though he does have weird hair in both videos.

My love for Imran Khan grows with every new interview of his. The guy is socially aware, knows how to dress (and he and Rahul Khanna may be the only men in Bollywood who do!) and hates Crocs? I sense best friend potential. :)

@moimeme I didn't see the news until after I posted this. :) I did RT it on twitter but will post tomorrow most def!

@Jess Sad is the perfect word to describe it. Like, how hard do did they have to work to make the usually flawless Hard Kaur look awful?! UGH!

@Sal Ha ha ha!!! He seems like a fun guy to hang out with for sure.

Why does Hard Kaur look like Snooki in that video.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
