I do not know who this gentleman is in real life, but to me he shall always be the director of "Holy Widows", a.k.a. "Water" with an AWESOME item number. :)
Oh, and you could also check with Harvey Weinstein - after all, he does excitedly dial the latter up with news on his potential Oscar-winner. ;)

I'll take a wild shot could it be Andrew T MacKay from Bombay Dub Ochestra? The backwards green ball cap made me think of him and he is listed as conductor, orchestrator for Tashan. He worked on Wake Up Sid, Victory and Patiala House.
If he's not he still might make a nice interview for your Outsider in Bollywood series. Check out Andrew's photo on IMDB and see what you think, I'm a definitely maybe.
