Zee Cine Awards 2011!

Another day, another awards ceremony... this time it's the Zee Cine Awards! Let's see how it stacks up against the others.

THE FILMS

Best Film: Udaan

Best Director: Vikramaditya Motwane for Udaan
Best Debut Director: Abhinav Kashyap for
Dabangg

Best Story: Karan Johar and Shibani Bathija for
My Name Is Khan
Best Dialogue: Rajat Arora for
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai
Best Screenplay: Abhinav Kashyap for
Dabangg

Best Marketed Film:
My Name Is Khan

[Interesting category... and if MNIK deserves any award, it is this one.]

THE ACTORS AND ACTRESSES

Best Actor: Hrithik Roshan for
Guzaarish
Best Actress: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for
Guzaarish

Best Actor In A Supporting Role: Arjun Rampal for
Raajneeti
Best Actress In A Supporting Role: Prachi Desai for
Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai

[Here's a good question, why is Prachi getting the awards for OUATIM? The only thing I can think of is Kangana was considered the "lead" actress of the film but really her role was just as big as Prachi's and her acting more nuanced.]

Best Actor In A Comic Role: Boman Irani for
Well Done Abba
Best Actor In A Negative Role: Ronit Roy for
Udaan

Best Debut, Male: Ranveer Singh for
Band Baaja Baaraat
Best Debut, Female: Sonakshi Sinha for
Dabangg

International Icon: Ranbir Kapoor
International Icon: Deepika Padukone

[Really? If there was one award Sonam Kapoor should be winning, it is International Icon. The girl can really pose and she knows her fashion. Deepika is notorious for being badly dressed.]

Best Lifetime Jodi: Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh

Lifetime Achievement Award: Shatrughan Sinha

AKSHAY KUMARRRRR!

Gorgeous Aishwarya Rai!

Deepika Padukone, who will be adopting
this as her theme song in the new year if we don't get her out of those sandals and opposite some taller heroes.

Best supporting actress Prachi Desai! She's cute but that dress... it's not flattering for her body type. You have to be a size zero and/or built like a 12-year old boy to pull it off.

A super-tired looking Shahrukh Khan... I guess playing a super hero requires more sleep.

Here's a fine looking couple - Hrithik and Sussane.

And another fine looking couple - Rishi and Neetu!

I really don't like Deepika... How could she get that award?

Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor always look so cute :D

@Lime(tte): I hate Deepika too -.- Can't wait until she runs out of work.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
