Wednesday Gossip!

Hello, world! Sorry for the late post this morning. I had to take my kitten to the vet (don't worry, she's okay) but I'm home now and ready to serve you up your daily dose of Bolly-goodness!

So, I've been thinking that along with refusing to acknowledge "Twitter" news items, I might stop acknowledging "link-up" reports that have been obviously planted by filmi PR teams. Because the Shahid-Priyanka-Ranbir thing is just really too stupid and, gosh, isn't it convenient that all this is coming out in advance of romantic comedy
Anjaana Anjaani...

NO MORE TWITTER NEWS AND NO MORE LINK-UPS!

(Unless, they're really juicy!)

* Akshay Kumar has got
Rob Lowe to play a hockey champ in his Canadian film. And Russell Peters is involved!

* Salman Khan has not invited
Shahrukh and Vivek to his Dabangg success party! To be fair, was Salman invited to the Prince success party? Not everybody has to be friends, y'all...

* When he's not forcing his lady-partner to eat bugs on
KKK3, Rahul Bose enjoys working in Bengali film.

* More bogus PR from the sets of
Tees Maar Khan - where it was alleged that Katrina Kaif threw a tantrum. But Farah Khan and Akshay Kumar say the reports are false.

(Also, Kat apparently has a
kissing scene with Hrithik in Zoya's new film!)

* Mallika Arora Khan has danced her way into being the
brand ambassador for a balm mentioned in "Munni."

*
Dhobi Ghat was in trouble for the title of their film... the case was dismissed.

Vinod Kumar Kanojia, the chairman of Hindustan Kanojia Organisation of Dhobis, has claimed that the title of the movie was a sign for making caste division in the dhobi community. He has appealed to the Delhi High Court asking for a change of the title before film releases in theaters.

*
Crook - It's Bad To Be Good is getting new promos, after unofficial ones were leaked online.

* The Aurora Theater in Mumbai is closing for a couple weeks to spruce up
before Endhiran.

The theatre owner believes it's only fair. The owner says a Rajini release is like God descending on earth and so all is worth the efforts for the festivities.

* Sanjay Leela Bansali is writing an
ode to Lata Mangeshkar.

*
This article is so ridiculous it must be read to be believed!!

The Italian Job film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Omi Vaidya and Bobby Deol. Neil was supposed to play the role essayed by Edward Norton in the original.

A source close to the film disclosed to Mumbai Mirror, "The Italian Job is a very big and prestigious film for Abbas Mustan. They have been working at it for a long time now.

Point one, no film starring Sonam, Bobby Deol, Abhi, and Omi Vaidya should be described as 'big' or 'prestigious.' If it ain't got one of The Three Khans, you're strictly in B-list territory. And I would argue that you are look at the C-list here with Bobby and Omi.

Added the source, "Abbas Mustan took some time to grapple with the modalities of The Italian Job, but now everything has fallen in place. As of now, they are location scouting in the North Pole. The Italian Job will, in fact, be the first film to be shot in the North Pole."

WTF?! THE NORTH POLE?! Is Santa making a cameo?!

Okay, now the PR people are so desperate for press, they are just making stuff up!

* Mallika Sherawat likes being the
only sexy lady on set and hates sharing the label with Kangana on Dhamaal 2.

OMG! OMG! OMGGGGGG! I cannot wait for this movie!!!

"The Italian Job will, in fact, be . . . shot in the North Pole." Does this mean it's really going to be The Santa's Workshop Job, or did they decide to one-up Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam by going even further than Hungary for fake-Italy?

Farah Khan is my idol, however I wonder if the film will have the same magical touch for me that her collaborations with Shah did. That being said, I can appreciate Akshay and Kat in their own capacity. Maybe this will be the one that resonates with me, since none of their other films hooked me.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
