Saturday Gossip...!

Good morning!!! I hope your Friday night was as fun as mine!!

Okay! No (good) new movies this weekend but that doesn't mean we can't gossip!

* Subhash K. Jha
discusses Katrina and Ranbir.

From the time I first saw Ranbir on screen in the rushes of Saawariya with his mom Neetu Singh (who had forgotten to bring her glasses and was ‘reading’ the screen as she saw a new star, who happened to be her son, being born) I could sense we were in the midst of a very special talent.

Ranbir was a quiet observer from the start. While others from the movie
would talk endlessly between shots (and that included the film’s temperamental director) he’d be silently observing from an inconspicuous corner.

A natural born actor is hard to come by. Sometimes it’s inborn. Sometimes the person that you are qualifies you for stardom. Katrina Kaif’s goodness of heart just shines through in every character she plays. Jaani or Jenny, she’s a heart-stopper without trying to be one.

*
Indiaglitz gives a little more info on the Trisha-Akki starrer Katta Meetha.

According to the director, initially, Khatta Meetha was based his 1990 Malayalam filmVellanakalude Nadu, which was on the road mafia and corruption in the construction business. However at that point of time, it was entirely fictional and Akki felt that the movie should be more relevant to contemporary times. “We brought in the whole story of the death of the honest road engineer in Bihar who was apparently killed by the corrupt road mafia when he threatened to expose their wrongdoings. We introduced Makrand’s character based on Yogendra Pandey and Akshay as the friend and colleague who uncovers the bloody trail,” revealed Priyan. Akshay believed that they have been able to do something important here, in bringing the message through the comedy, added the director.

* The new hot feud in Bollywood:
Vidya vs. Shahid.

*
The Huffington Post covers New York's Mahindra Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival.

* Hrithik is ditching
Manish Malhotra's directorial debut in favor of Krrish 2.

* Four words:
Singh is Kinng 2.

And in case you haven't seen it - Ranbir's adorable promo for
Rocket Singh.

I had a great time dancing to Bollywood and Bhangra tunes at last nights Desi party - so I did have a good Friday night! Hopefully you did too.
It's sad that there are always feuds between actors - hopefully it doesn't affect a lot of people. I like the quote about Ranbir and Katrina - sounds like they're both great people. I LOVE the preview of Rocket Singh - the last 5 seconds of his speech make me giggle every time I see it. Happy Saturday!

Sad about Vidya & Shahid's relationship demise. Found an interview where she opens up about Shahid:

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/bollywood/news-interviews/Vidya-opens-up-on-Shahid/articleshow/5229706.cms

Choice Quote:
" If someone who matters to you talks you down, it can break you. That someone whose approval mattered to me started to constantly find faults with me. It started reflecting on me. At that point of time, it was important to walk away from that relationship. I don’t want to take his name. "

If its true then Shahid doesn't deserve Vidya.

Note from Filmi Girl:

I love Bollywood - and all the ridiculous things that happen in Bollywood - but it doesn't mean that I can't occasionally make fun of various celebrities and films.

If you don't like my sense of humor, please just move on by - Trolls are not appreciated and nasty comments will be deleted.
